Flotron & McIntosh CEO Richard McIntosh announced the formation of their new Environment and Energy Division. “This new Flotron & McIntosh division is a logical application of our approach to governmental problems. We have many more tools than just litigation and we work hard to find and use the best, most cost effective ones first.”
“Our experienced and knowledgeable associates develop strategies, action plans and alternatives to costly litigation for our clients. Most often we try to pursue a cooperative approach with decision makers to resolve client issues in the quickest and most cost effective manner available. This approach is often more productive with executive agencies, their personnel on the ground and the legislature. We utilize hardball action when necessary, but in the governmental arena our approach is often faster and cheaper than out of the gate legal hardball.” McIntosh previously served on the governmental affairs team of then Attorney General and now Governor, Jay Nixon. He also was Chief of Staff to House Democrat Majority Leader, Gracia Backer after years of service on the senate appropriations staff. He is joined by experienced and able long time Republican Senators Franc Flotron and Larry Rohrbach. The new environment and energy division is comprised of former Missouri Department of Natural Resources Director and State Senator, Doyle Childers plus other longtime former Division Directors from DNR. Former Director of Environmental Quality, Dan Schuette and former DNR Deputy Division Director for Environmental Quality, Earl Pabst each bring the new division more than thirty years experience across the spectrum of environmental issues. Another former DNR Division Director, Dr. Doug Eiken brings the firm his broad expertise on parks and recreation issues in Missouri and several other states. While Director of State Parks he held prestigious, senior positions in national organizations and has received extensive recognition for his work. Utilizing our more than 100 years of experience across state government along with strong administrative and support skills supplied by Zach Brunnert and David McCracken, the new Flotron & McIntosh division has the ability to provide clients with effective and timely solutions across a broad spectrum of environmental and energy issues. This unique depth of experience and knowledge is unmatched in the consulting world of Missouri.
