We were successful in lobbying the committee to agree with the Senate position of the full $3.7 million restoration to ITSD and the funding of the $2 million general revenue line for IT security projects in HB 2005 for FY 17. This is an increase of $5.7 million over the current fiscal year spend. Furthermore, the conference committee agreed on the line of $1.8 million for supplemental funding for the current fiscal year for ITSD in HB 2014.

The budget bills were truly agreed and finally passed on Thursday. Due to the legislature passing the budget far enough in advance of the constitutional deadline, the Governor will have to take action on the budget before the legislature adjourns on May 13th.

UPDATE: Governor Nixon signed HB 2005 on May 6th. This included the increases to OA ITSD that Flotron & McIntosh successfully lobbied for inclusion in the fiscal year 2017 operating budget and the 2016 supplemental appropriation authority.
